Why work with me?
Heartfelt prep, caring creation, and lasting inspiration.
With a master’s degree in Psychology, supporting you in clarifying your vision is the fuel to my artistry.
None of us are born knowing how to express what we’re imagining, or even hone in on what we want. It’s my job to guide us down that path, together.
Once we’re on the same page for your painting, My decades of art practice help me craft an experience of deep care – so working through an art commission can be a therapeutic influence in itself.
A bit of my history
I’ve been painting since I was a toddler (which is about 40 years now!): learning with paint-by-number kits, with my hobby painting mom and grandpapa. We’d sit and create under the big tree in the backyard all summer. Art is synonymous with nurturing and tenderness for me.
What you can expect
Throughout the process, I’ll be asking you what the art means to you, and what you hope to get from it when its completed. So when it is, it will be infused with the energy that led you to seek this out – whether that’s the love in you partnership, your desire to be transported to a magical fantasy realm, or the remembrance of core values or loved ones.

I truly believe one of the best gifts a couple can give themselves on their wedding day is a live wedding painter. Not only do you end up with a breathtaking piece of artwork that you’ll treasure for the rest of your life, but you also create an unforgettable experience for everyone celebrating with you. Heidi is one of the very best in the business, and her talent is absolutely incredible.
What makes Heidi stand out is that she doesn’t just paint a beautiful portrait, she creates an experience. Throughout the evening, she invites guests to participate by adding a few brushstrokes to the painting. It’s such a fun, interactive touch that gets everyone involved and makes the finished piece even more meaningful. Watching the painting come to life throughout the event is something guests love, and it becomes such a special conversation piece.
Beyond being an exceptionally talented artist, Heidi is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She has such a warm, bubbly personality that instantly makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome. She brings so much positive energy to every wedding and is truly a joy to have as part of your special day. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that passion shines through in both her artwork and the way she connects with people.
The finished painting is absolutely stunning and captures the emotion and beauty of the day in a way that photographs alone simply can’t. Every time you look at it, you’ll be reminded of one of the happiest days of your life and all the memories that came with it.
I would recommend Heidi and her live wedding painting services a thousand times over. If you’re looking for a unique, meaningful, and unforgettable addition to your wedding, she is worth every penny. You truly won’t be disappointed!

We recently had the absolute pleasure of working with Heidi at a wedding we catered, and she completely blew us away! Our couple hired her to create a live painting with a custom Star Wars theme, and watching the piece come to life throughout the evening was such an incredible experience for everyone there.
Not only is she insanely talented, but she also brought such a fun, interactive, and unique element to the wedding that guests could not stop talking about. The final painting was beyond stunning — a true keepsake that perfectly captured the couple’s personality and love story in such a creative way.
We are officially obsessed and cannot wait to start offering this experience to more of our future brides and couples. If you’re looking for something unforgettable to elevate your wedding day, Heidi is an absolute must! ✨

Honestly, working a wedding alongside Heidi was such a highlight. From a vendor’s perspective, she’s exactly the kind of person you want on the team. Personable, incredibly friendly, and she just brings a great energy to the room.
Her attention to detail is mind-blowing. Watching her capture the day on canvas in real-time was a total experience for the guests, and myself . The final result was stunning. What really impressed me was that she was one of the few who actually arrived early to get settled and prepared, which is a huge green flag in this industry. If you want someone who is as reliable as they are talented, Heidi is the one!

As someone in the event industry, I work with a lot of vendors, and Heidi truly stands out. Her artwork is beautiful, but what really makes her unique is how she engages with guests. She invites people into the process and creates a memorable, interactive experience. She even let me paint a few strokes, and as someone who is definitely not a painter, her ease and guidance made it feel completely natural. It was a really special moment I won’t forget.
Her warmth and positive energy added so much to the night. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for both incredible art and a welcoming presence at their wedding or event!

Heidi captures the essence of milestone moments beautifully. I have seen her first hand capture magic with her brush and it's truly a joy to witness each stroke transfer the energy to the canvas. The experience of a live painter at events is so deeply special, reminding us that life isn't just one moment to be captured in a click of the camera but a series of strokes and refinements that build over time.
On a personal note, she painted a beautiful piece of my late father which hangs in my office and I can feel his smile every time I look at it. I also commissioned a piece of my uncle and his beloved and she was able to capture the sparkle in his eyes.
Highly recommend!!!

Heidi’s painting of us dancing salsa is something we’ll cherish forever.
Before starting, I wasn’t sure we could find someone who could capture the energy and movement of us dancing salsa. Once I saw Heidi’s work and spoke with her, any doubts disappeared. Her style has so much warmth and motion in it, which felt perfect for a salsa moment! On top of that, her communication and energy stood out. She felt genuinely invested—not just in the art, but in us as a couple.
While working with her, we loved her kindness and fun presence. Everything felt smooth, professional, and thoughtful. She captured the rhythm and emotion of our salsa dance beautifully. The painting turned out stunning—better than we could’ve imagined. We’d recommend her to any couple who wants a unique, heartfelt keepsake from their wedding or anniversary especially anyone who wants the emotion, movement, and joy of dancing (or any special moment) captured in art.
We are so grateful and will treasure this piece forever. 💗Yesenia & Miguel💗

I had seen a live painter at another wedding and I knew it was something I really wanted for my own. My husband and I are big art lovers, and we decided we'd rather have a live painter for our reception than a photographer who would just take endless pictures of people eating.
As soon as I found Heidi, I loved her style. Right away, I saw her making just the type of art that we love. Her website felt personal and like she was speaking to my free-spirited nature. Plus, she had packages listed at a variety of price points, so I could actually afford her! (Live painting can be really expensive.)
From the moment we were first able to talk, I knew it was a done deal. Being able to talk through all our ideas and having her be so receptive and caring really set her apart from other artists. I love how easy it is to communicate with her. As soon as we hung up, I knew that it was taken care of, and there was no further stress or worry,.
The way it turned out was exactly what we'd envisioned. It was exactly the style of art that we love. It turned out so perfect, and we were so amazed by it, that when we got home on our wedding night, we took another piece of art down to make space for it. It hasn't moved since. It lives right there and we see it every day when we sit on the couch and watch TV.
To this day, I still hear from people about how cool it was to have her painting there. . It was just so so cool.
My advice to anyone considering hiring Heidi: just do it, without hesitation! Her communication and caring made the coolest and easiest project I've ever planned. My only regret is I wish I could hire her for every event. I wouldn't have any wall space left!

I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi at a Disney wedding, and I was immediately intrigued when I saw her set up with an easel. She explained that she is a live painter, creating a portrait of the bride and groom during their ceremony. Watching her work was absolutely incredible, seeing the painting come to life from the first brushstrokes to the final masterpiece was mesmerizing. By the time it was complete, I was in awe. What an amazing and meaningful keepsake for the bride and groom to treasure forever. Heidi’s talent is truly remarkable!

Heidi, was such a lovely touch to the wedding I recently attended. The place the wedding took place was magical and so was the art created. What a wonderful idea to have live art on your special day to keep a memory hanging in your house forever.

Working with Heidi was a true pleasure!! Our team recently worked with Heidi for our KCRW Presents: Supper Splash by Aqualillies Show Series, where she Live Painted our synchronized swimming performances! It was a really cool experience seeing our watershow come to life on a canvas - and we got immense feedback from event attendees about how much they loved seeing Heidi's process of live painting! It was a hugely positive addition to our event and really elevated the guest experience! Thank you again 🙂

I commissioned a piece of art from Heidi, and while it was not mural-sized nor was it a live event, man do I hope I get to work with her someday in both of those contexts!
Because truly, there is something magical about working with Heidi. She exudes joy, warmth, and creativity, and that together with her technical expertise not only lead to beautiful art made with love, but also a creation process that in and of itself is a unique and memorable experience.
Her communication is thorough, warm, clear, and insightful. In the case of the painting I worked on with her, I had a rough concept that I wanted to capture, and through several discussion sessions it became a fun collaborative process to refine and bring my idea to life - and I'm so grateful Heidi was determined to fulfill whatever vision I had in my head! She literally gave it wings :)
Thank you again so much, Heidi!

We are truly delighted with Heidi’s work. In opening a therapy and community space we wanted to create an environment the inspired whimsey, joy, and peace. She captured this beautifully in her work.
This piece is so prominent in our space, so choosing the right muralist was crucial. To say Heidi exceeded our expectations is not only an understatement, it’s an achievement, because our expectations were high.
Heidi had insights of an industry pro that impressed us. She noted recent construction in our space, however cleaned-up, would mean a more thorough wash of the canvas (wall), an insight I hadn’t thought to share.
Heidi met with us multiple times before beginning our project, and throughout, to ensure her design met our expectations. She was able to ask questions in a way that moved the vision in my head to the canvas.
We are absolutely pleased with the mural, and our clients comment on its beauty often. We will absolutely work with Heidi again should we have an opportunity.

Heidi made an absolutely beautiful painting during my wedding this past August. As a professional dancer, it was so special to be celebrated by a fellow artist in this way. My guests were also delighted to watch Heidi work throughout the evening. She took such care in selecting the perfect moment from our sunset photos for the portrait. I loved how it turned out, perfectly capturing the rustic romantic setting. Not only do I highly recommend her work, but working with her was a dream. Her care for her craft and fulfilling our hopes for the piece shined through in every interaction. The process was a delight from start to finish!

We are WAY overdue in praising Heidi for adding such a fun element to our farm wedding. She truly went way above and beyond in asking questions, arriving early, setting up, and wowing the crowd as she captured our post nuptials. Guests are still talking about how cool it was to see her painting come to life before their very eyes. The colors and details of my tulle wedding gown are so pretty, and the painting is a cool keepsake for us. Ok, so our faces are left a little bit to interpretation. LOL. I'd consider one of her fun guest/crowd paintings - b/c faces are usually a bit difficult to capture, especially for a wedding portrait But the energy of the day, and moment, is clear - and the pop of color with the bridal bouquet is the chef's kiss!

Five stars really isn’t enough but it was the most we could give! Heidi was so amazing from start to finish. She met with us ahead of the wedding so she could make sure to capture our values and get an image that made our special day even better. On the day of the wedding she was there early, with plenty of time to scope out the venue and find the perfect place to capture the moment. Her presence was so calming amidst all the chaos! Our guests loved watching her work and were so intrigued by the concept of having a live painter (as was I!). They were also so impressed at the fact that the painting really looked like us! (I mean… that IS the idea, right? Lol) Heidi delivered the final painting to us in a beautiful wrapping that looked almost too good to open. I would highly recommend her to any couples considering a live painter for your wedding- you won’t be disappointed!

Heidi did a live painting at my wedding in November of 2021.
The whole experience was absolutely incredible!
Working with Heidi was a breeze. She walked us through the whole process, keeping it very stress-free for me, and had a smooth time working with our coordinator and venue.
Our guests were so taken with the whole event! They would gather around throughout the wedding to watch the painting happen right before their eyes from start to finish. People got a real kick out of spotting themselves in the crowd on the canvas!
We completley adore our finished painting and have it hanging on our living room wall. It's a one of a kind piece that means the world to us.
Heidi is not only an amazing artist, but just an all around great and lovely person. Having her attend the wedding was our honour!
For anyone that's looking to elevate their special day and add another touch of magic to it, you will not regret having Heidi do one of her live paintings for you! Don't miss out on this fantastic experience!

Heidi devotes so much care and attention to her work and it shows! She also listens well to her customer's needs, and in my case did a fantastic job interpreting my (very) vague guidance. I absolutely LOVE my new bedroom wall mural. Her time is limited, so be sure get on her list quickly!

Heidi painted a beautiful mural inside my garage gym. She's an incredibly talented artist who guided me through the ideation and design phase and explained her process in easy to understand language. The end result was a captivating, colorful image of a modern bridge winding into the vibrant mountains. I love it and would recommend Heidi to brighten your home or workspace!
